Best of Vancouver Newborn Photographers: Finalists Three and Four

At the beginning of February we asked you to submit your nominations for the best of Vancouver newborn photographers. Newborn babies are magical, and those first photos of them are so precious. You want to make sure you’re trusting the right person to capture the perfect shot. Our judges reviewed all of your nominations, and narrowed it down to the top 10. Today we’re happy to tell you about the third and fourth finalists, presented in no particular order.

Jasalyn Thorne Photographers

Jasalyn Thorne shares: “As a natural course of life, a lot of our past wedding clients began their own families a few years later and we were delighted to be asked to join them in watching their families grow and capturing the beautiful moments at each stage of their lives. We offer a very personal experience, where we will come to your home and photograph your children in their own environment. We find it easier for children to be themselves in their own home and we strive to capture their true selves, as their parents know them.”

Sakura Photography

Leslie Biggar is a wedding and portrait photographer for her company Sakura Photography. She writes: “I love photographing newborns in both a classic sense using timeless black and white photography, as well as in a fun and well-thought-out custom portrait set with coordinating colours, patterns, and knitted hats and wraps. My goal is to get people smiling when they view the newborn photos, as I’m a smiley person myself.”

Leslie photographs all her newborn sessions at her in-home studio located in New Westminster, where parents can cozy up on a sofa and relax while their baby is photographed.
