Lauren Tetreault is a huge camera nerd whose closest friends don’t even see her camera in my hand anymore because she brings it with her everywhere. “They never see me use it. I’m really sneaky!

Why did you get into photography?

I had two people that really influenced my love of photography. My father was the main one as he had a camera in my hand by age twelve and for my 16th birthday my parents bought me my first SLR. The other was my grade 10 art teacher who showed me how to use a darkroom after school. I never leave the house without my camera.

Tell us a bit about your company?

I have been shooting professionally on and off since 1994 but I started Lauren Joan Photography in 2007. I’m a natural light shooter so I come to your home or to a location of your choice. I really enjoy meeting new people and putting them in situations that brings a natural smile.

How would you characterize your style of photography?

My style is natural and candid. I will never ask you to pose.

Who are your clients?

Children, Families, Couples, Brides and Grooms. I like shooting people but I love shooting the little ones. It’s always a challenge but always so rewarding.

What should your mom clients expect when working with you?

I’m always striving to give them something they won’t get from any other photographer. You will be comfortable, at ease and laugh because together we will create that environment.
