February has arrived, and with it, thoughts of love. If the whole romance thing feels a little bit overdone to you, though, fear not. This month at VancouverMom.ca we’re going to be talking about a different kind of love – the love that we all feel for this gorgeous, diverse and vibrant city we call home. We spend all year connecting you with other Vancouver moms and the many fabulous resources that our city has to offer to parents and families. This February we’ll be kicking it up a notch, as we help you love where you live even more.
A Connected Community Makes for Happier Moms
We believe that when you’re really hooked into your community you’re happier. That’s why we do what we do. Vancouver is a really great place to raise a family, but it’s even better when you take advantage of all that it has to offer. This month we’ll be focusing on a number of Vancouver neighbourhoods (and even a few out in the suburbs), highlighting what makes them family-friendly. Call it our love letter to this city that we call home.

I love how each neighbourhood has a distinct character and feel. We never have to go far to experience something new. Depending on our mood, both the city or nature are both very accessible. However, one of best things about living in Vancouver is how kid-friendly it is. Many of our friends who live in other cities believe raising kids in Vancouver is a daunting task when in fact Vancouver is a wonderful place with wonderful opportunities for families.
