Happy New Year from Vancouver Mom

With 2013 entering its final hours, we’d like to take this chance to wish you a very, very happy new year. We trust that 2014 will hold all kinds of great things for you. We have lots of big news that we can’t wait to share with you. While we chart our own course into the year ahead, though, we’re also taking the chance to reflect on 2013 and all that it held for us.
Looking Back
Looking back, 2013 held a lot of high points for us. We really enjoyed the Vancouver’s Greenest Family and Top 30 Vancouver Mom Blogger searches. Once again, we enjoyed hosting a number of events. Leading Moms filled us with inspiration, as well as gratitude for being part of an amazing community of moms. Glam gave us a chance to kick up our heels and celebrate. Family Day at the BC Home + Garden Show gave us a chance to meet some fellow Vancouver moms and their adorable children.
Our own family grew this year, as well. We were thrilled to welcome new contributors, and to see two of our writers expand (figuratively and quite literally) as Lisa Corriveau and Michelle Gadd both had babies. When you’re a mom, growth is all around you, and we definitely felt that this year.
What You Read in 2013
As an online magazine, the truth is that what we view as the highlights of 2013 isn’t really all that important. What matters the most is what you, our fellow Vancouver moms, are reading. All told you’ve viewed almost half a million pages on our site during the past year. Here are some of the articles you turned to most often:
[unordered_list style=”bullet”]- Where to Eat in Vancouver: 24 Hour Restaurants
- Free Mom and Baby Drop-In Activities
- Vote for Your Favourite Vancouver Mom Bloggers of 2013
- Best of Vancouver: Top Newborn Photographer Morgaine Owens

Happy New Year!
Whether you’ve read each and every one of those articles, or you’re visiting for the first time, we’re sending our best wishes for a happy new year. Here’s to 2014!
