Get Ready for Summer

June’s here and we’re not waiting any longer to get ready for summer!

Whether your summer means camping outdoors, getting in shape, or hitting the beach, we’ve got you covered because this month is all about getting ready for sunshine and fun–two of our favourite things.

After months of dreary rain and grey clouds, we’re opening our windows up and letting the fresh air in. Flowers are blooming, the grass is green, and the temperatures are finally starting to creep on up. That means it’s time to get ready to get outside and enjoy every minute of our oh-too-short summertime weather.

What’s your favourite thing to do when school’s finally out and summer’s here? What did summer mean to you when you were a kid? Where’s your favourite Vancouver spot to spend a perfect summer day?

Tell us! We want to hear from you.

  • I love summer. I am a teacher and off all summer, so I am fortunate that I get to spend lots of time with my kids. Centennial Beach is my favourite spot for a picnic and a day of fun. On rainy days we head to the Play Palace in Kerrisdale. The waterpark and Steveston Park is also great. I would be remiss not to mention Garden City Park in Richmond for its water fun and natural playground.

As a kid, my best memory is going with my family to the beach and staying in the water, for what seemed like, all day.
