Soccer Birthday Parties For Kids: Goody Bags
Part 3 of a 3-part series on hosting a soccer birthday party in Vancouver.
From previous articles on planning your soccer birthday party for kids in Vancouver and organizing game day, you are well on your way to creating the perfect soccer birthday party. Now, here are some suggestions for goody bags. There’s something to fit every budget!
- Soccer balls: You can find soccer balls of different sizes at WalMart or the dollar store for a very reasonable price. Why not give one to each of the soccer players? To personalize them, you can use a Sharpie to write their names and the team they were on.
- Water bottles: WalMart also sells aluminum water bottles of different colours for roughly $5 each. Again, you can personalize them using a Sharpie. These can be pre-filled with water, and can be used during the soccer games … that will save you from bringing water jugs and paper cups.
- Small items: For a more traditional goody bag, you can put soccer key chains, soccer notepads, soccer pencils and/or soccer kick balls in a cellophane bag…add some candy, and you have a perfect soccer goody bag!
- Soccer trading cards: These can purchased at many soccer stores. Each pack contains 5 to 6 cards of famous soccer players and it’s a perfect add-on to either a soccer ball or a water bottle (packs of trading cards range in price from $2 – $4).
Both my boys have had a World Cup soccer party and both times, the party was a great success. We had fun planning it together, and even more fun playing the soccer games on the day of the party. I hope you will enjoy it as much as we did!
