2014 Top 30 Vancouver Mom Bloggers: 7-12

A few weeks ago we asked you to nominate your favourite Vancouver mom blog for our fifth annual Top 30 Vancouver Mom Bloggers contest. You came through with dozens nominations, telling us about some truly fabulous Metro Vancouver mom bloggers. We reviewed them, we visited the blogs, and we deliberated over our decisions. It wasn’t easy, but we’ve narrowed it down to just 30. We believe you’ll be just as impressed as we are by the strength of the writing and the diversity of topics coming from these bloggers. This week we’ll be presenting the 2014 Top 30 Vancouver Mom Bloggers to you, in no particular order. Today we’re happy to share our second group of six.

Megan Newton lives in Ladner, BC with her husband of twelve years, plus their two rambunctious boys and one opinionated baby girl. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from UBC, and is currently working from home full-time as an insurance underwriter. In what little spare time she has, Megan enjoys writing, taking photos, and developing recipes for her family. She began her blog, Food and Whine, in 2010 as a creative outlet for her hobbies. Jamie Dunlop Khau of Styling the Inside

Jamie Dunlop Khau Styling the Inside Vancouver Mom BloggersJamie Dunlop Khau is a mother of three daughters, an Early Childhood Educator, Stella and Dot stylist. She’s also coordinator for Hashtaglunchbag Vancouver, a movement that makes sandwiches for the homeless in the DTES, and an active volunteer on the PAC. I guess you could call her a juggler, because that’s exactly what her life is – a juggling act. She is a newbie to the blogging world and recently started her blog Styling the Inside in hopes to inspire others with her thoughts and life experiences. She finds blogging very therapeutic and if giving herself free therapy can also somehow make an impact, then she is left feeling like she has contributed to herself and the world. She is an advocate for inner beauty, children’s mental health and wellness and aspires to create a life that feels good on the inside. In her little time as a new blogger she has realized how the power of media can really connect one another and hopes to continue making these connections on this new venture.

Combining the driftwood accents, my love of nature and desire to give back to the community, Seaside Home Accents was born. My blog is about the environment, food, my driftwood creations and life.”
