Podcast: The Ladies Behind the mom inc MOVEMENT

If you’re a mom who’s looking for a career or life change, you may want to check out the mom inc MOVEMENT Tradeshow and Conference, coming to Burnaby this Sunday, November 4, 2012. The event gives moms a chance to connect with each other, explore business and personal opportunities, hear some inspiring and empowering speakers, and attend skill-building workshops. And on this edition of the VancouverMom.ca Podcast we had the chance to sit down with the mom inc MOVEMENT’s co-founders Christine Nielsen and Meghan Simington for a chat as they gear up for their second annual event.
Looking for a Change
After having children, a lot of moms decide that they want to switch things up in their lives. The things that were working for you before you welcomed your little bundle of joy just may not be working for you in the same way anymore. But where do you start? Christine and Meghan created the mom inc MOVEMENT to help moms who found themselves in that position.
During the podcast Christine and Meghan talk about what the mom inc MOVEMENT is about, and what inspired them to start it. They discuss the local community of mothers, and how many women come together to help each other out. They give us a preview of what to expect at the Tradeshow and Conference this weekend, and they also give us some tips on where to start if you’re ready for a change in your own life.
