Science World’s Spring Camps: Good Vibrations
5 Days of Lights, Sound & Action!
From photons to radio waves, and from gentle vibrations to sonic booms, Spring Break Science Camp brings light and sound to life. Campers will explore how rainbows form, why lasers behave the way they do, and how sound travels through air, objects – even our bodies! With interactive shows and hands-on experiments, kids will see sound, hear light, and discover the hidden science behind everyday wonders.
DATES:
Week 1: March 16 – 20 | Week 2: March 23 – 27

About Science World
If you haven’t been to Science World lately, it’s that iconic geodesic dome down by False Creek that’s been sparking curiosity in kids (and let’s be honest, adults too) for decades. It’s a non-profit science centre that makes learning feel like play, which is exactly what we want for our kids.
Their approach is all about hands-on, experiential learning. No sitting at desks here – kids touch, build, experiment, and explore through interactive galleries, live science demonstrations, and special programs like these winter camps. The team behind it includes educators, scientists, and creative thinkers who genuinely love getting kids excited about STEAM (that’s science, technology, engineering, art, and math).
What I appreciate most is that Science World doesn’t dumb things down. They trust kids to handle real scientific concepts when they’re presented in engaging ways. Whether it’s understanding physics through building structures, learning about optics through illusions, or grasping psychology through magic tricks, they make it click.
Registration is simple: book your week, pay online, and fill out your camper’s info in their portal. Both weeks fill up fast, so if you’re interested, I’d get on it sooner rather than later.
