No more climbing the walls: Vancouver’s best rainy day activities for kids.

It’s no secret that it rains in Vancouver. A lot. Fortunately, there are some really fun places for those rainy days when the weather makes you want to stay indoors but the kids want (NEED) to get out and play. Here are some great ideas for keeping the kids entertained for hours, no matter the weather.
6Pack Indoor Beach
Escape the rain by pretending you’re on a beach any month of the year and any day of the week. The kids have a blast with sand, volleyball nets, and beach toys—all indoors and without the sunburn. Picture a massive beach inside a warehouse that’s pretty much the largest sandbox ever. Little Diggers Drop-in playtime is open for kids 10 and under, Mon-Fri in the daytime.
115-13180 Mitchell Rd, Richmond
Granville Island Kids Market
Kids never tire of this place. There are tonnes of games for all ages in the Circuit Circus, which are all family friendly and fun (shooting water games, hitting weasels, throwing balls). There’s also a giant play gym called Adventure Zone that spans two stories and includes a big ball pit. You may need to pry the kids away!
1496 Cartwright St, Vancouver
Extreme Air Park
Wall-to-wall indoor trampolines. Let the little ones burn off all that energy as they bounce, bounce, BOUNCE their way around this giant warehouse. Jumpers must wear special grippy socks that you have to buy there, and parents can join in on the fun or watch on the sidelines. Kids age six and under must be accompanied on the trampolines by an adult.
14380 Triangle Rd, Richmond
Kidtropolis
Imagination galore. Kidtropolis is a giant ‘pretend city’ with miniature play stations including a grocery store, gas station, streets, police station, veterinary hospital, and more. Kids of all ages will LOVE running around the mini town, being creative and dressing up. There are different events each week, so check the calendar—Spiderman recently visited and there was a live animal show this week. It’s hard to even put into words. Just go, you won’t regret it!
