Spooktacular Newton
Get ready for a frightfully fun time at Spooktacular Newton on October 26th, from 11am to 4pm! Vancouver Mom is excited to partner with Therapy Now Clinic to hand out treats and prizes, so be sure to stop by our booth for some spooky surprises!
Spooktacular Newton is Surrey’s only free, family-friendly Halloween street festival. Bring the whole family—and don’t forget your costumes! Enjoy activities like trick-or-treating, mini golf, haunted train rides, a kids’ fun zone, face painting, and more. There will also be bouncy castles, games, food trucks, and a special dance performance by City Entertainment.
On your way out, grab a pumpkin by donation, with proceeds going to the Surrey Food Bank. Don’t miss out on this spooktacular event!

Burnaby Halloween Festival
Central Spark
Get ready for a spooktacular time at Central Park this Halloween! Gather the family and join in the fun at Burnaby’s iconic Central Spark event—completely free and perfect for all ages.
The evening will be packed with excitement, featuring a DJ dance party, tasty treats from local food trucks, spine-tingling entertainment, and plenty of photo-worthy moments. Don’t miss the stunning drone light show and a grand finale of fireworks!
Festivities begin at 6 pm along Patterson Avenue (from Kingsway to Central Boulevard) and at Central Park, with the fireworks lighting up the night at 7:30 pm. The event wraps up around 8 pm.

Looking for a fun and spooky Halloween adventure with the family? The Haunted Village is open evenings from 4-9pm until Sunday, October 27, and it’s packed with excitement for everyone. You’ll find stunning displays depicting eerie stories, carved pumpkins scattered throughout the village, spooky outdoor scenes to give you chills, and nightly dance parties with DJ Mad Hatter. Plus, enjoy captivating circus acts from the Vancouver Circus School and live Indigenous storytelling that brings enchanting tales to life. Fall Fun at Metropolis at Metrotown
Metropolis at Metrotown and Tourism Burnaby have teamed up to bring some Halloween magic to BC’s biggest shopping centre! From September 16 to October 31, families can experience “Fall Fun at the Met,” a festive celebration filled with a spooky escape room, pumpkin carving, and a pie-eating contest.
Now an annual tradition, “Fall Fun at the Met” is all about celebrating the season with themed displays and immersive décor. This year, the event is even more exciting, thanks to a partnership with Tourism Burnaby, which adds the Burnaby Halloween Festival to the mix.

Diwali at Metropolis at Metrotown
Join the Diwali celebrations at Metropolis at Metrotown on October 25 and 26! Enjoy family-friendly activities on the Ground Level outside the Fossil store from 11 am to 4 pm. Indulge in authentic Indian chai from Chai Wagon, tasty treats, and Mehndi tattoos, and snap photos with beautiful Diwali-themed displays.
On Saturday, October 26, participate in Bollywood dance lessons at 12 pm, 12:45 pm, and 1:30 pm, with breaks to recharge with chai and snacks. Don’t miss the Spice Radio team, who will be there from 11 am to 4 pm with exciting prizes and giveaways!

Heritage Halloween: Alice in Scary Wonderland
Bring the family to our Heritage Halloween event, where spooky fun meets a whimsical twist! Step into an Alice in Wonderland-themed haunted train station, meet beloved characters from the story, and enjoy face painting and themed crafts throughout the day. Don’t forget to grab some treats from the Welcome Booth and explore the stations both inside the museum and around Heritage Square. Be sure to visit our mini pumpkin patch—pumpkins are available while supplies last! For an early look at the haunted train station, stop by on October 24 or 25 during our special preview hours.

Spooky Sock: Monster Puppet Making Workshop
Get crafty this Halloween season with a fun and interactive puppet-making workshop for the whole family! Join ventriloquist and puppeteer Kellie Haines, along with artist Greg Robinson, as they guide you through creating your own monster puppet. Starting with a simple sock and cardboard, you’ll unleash your creativity to add unique features like eyes, horns, wings, or whatever you can imagine! Perfect for families and kids of all ages—just make sure children 8 and under are accompanied by an adult. One ticket covers all supplies needed to craft your one-of-a-kind puppet.

Dive into an adventure with the “ghosts of the Fraser” at the FRDC this Halloween! Sturgeon George’s family has mysteriously vanished, and we need your help to solve the case. Join us for a fun-filled day of clue-hunting and exciting STEM challenges that will put your problem-solving skills to the test. Can you be the hero to reunite George with his family? Greendale Acres – Chilliwack Corn Maze
This year, the Chilliwack Corn Maze is teaming up with 93.7 JR Country to turn their 10-acre cornfield into a celebration featuring country star Luke Bryan. The maze showcases a design of the five-time CMA Entertainer of the Year and American Idol judge, complete with him strumming a guitar and a pair of cowboy boots. A Must see and do!
