Four things we love about Cypress Mountain!

This is a guest post by Jo-Anne Jackson of the blog Momzies, a lifestyle blog dedicated to the modern mom. There you’ll find family-friendly recipes, DIY, style and kids’ activities.
We recently took a trip to Cypress Mountain with our kids. We’ve never taken them sledding before and thought this would be a great family outing.
Four things that we love about Cypress Mountain
The View

We were in awe driving up Cypress Mountain. We drove up to the lookout, and the sky was clear. We could see the thick clouds above the city. You’ll definitely want to stop at the lookout on the way up.
The Sledding
The children’s sledding area is great! It is created for kids 6 years old and under and has a gentle slope, which is perfect for younger kids. You will need to bring your own sled. We brought two, which allowed each of us to go down with one of our kids.
Other Winter Activities

Cypress Mountain offers a variety of winter activities. My husband David enjoys cross-country skiing and I love the snow-shoeing and loved the snowshoe trails. We’ll definitely be back to take our kids snow-shoeing.
The Cost
Sledding costs $10 for each child and chaperones pay $5. This included two hours of sledding, which is the perfect amount of time for younger children.
If you want to try out a new snowy activity with your kids, I definitely recommend sledding at Cypress.
