Vancouver Mom to Follow: Samantha Boswell of Something Gorgeous Mamas

This week’s Mom to Follow is Samantha Boswell, a mama of two, wife, mamapreneur, oils enthusiast, and creator of Something Gorgeous Mamas, a healthy-living community and resource for pregnant and young mamas! She loves to help women have more energy and less stress using natural solutions with nutrition, superfoods, and essential oils. Her desire is to create a community of healthy mamas sharing their journey of mamahood, while striving to nourish their bodies with all the good stuff. She blogs about this, motherhood, travel, essential oils, green living, and everything in between at sgmamas.com.
A few of Samantha’s favourite spots
Nuba
I used to think I “didn’t like Lebanese food” and then I went to Nuba… So fresh and so delicious! A total bonus that their food is totally kid-friendly for my hummus and pita-loving toddler.

508 Davie St, Vancouver (604) 661-4129
Cartems Donuterie
So I thought Cartem’s was amazing enough with their gluten-free AND vegan donuts but did you know they offer STORY TIME at two of their locations? Umm story time AND a donut? Yes. Please. But, wait. It gets better…kids also get a cold or steamed milk for free! #thebest
2190 Main St (corner of 6th and Main) Vancouver, 778-707-1114
534 West Pender Vancouver, 778-708-0996
3040 West Broadway (near MacDonald), Vancouver, 604-428-6372
Deep Cove
When we’re looking for a close getaway, this is it. A short drive away from downtown, this spot has everything we need – cute shops (like Room6), delicious cafes (Bluhouse Market & Café), gorgeous views, our favourite restaurant (Arm’s Reach Bistro), and a park for the boys to play!
Nourish Cafe & Cooking School
This small but cute café is aesthetically a breath of fresh air (just what mama needs) with its white walls, floral prints, and quality coffee or local Hoochy ‘Booch kombucha. They have a small play kitchen next to a stylish couch – if you can snag this spot it’s the perfect way to sit back and enjoy your coffee.
Edible Canada
Edible Canada is a great little date night spot, with a mouth-watering menu (try their falafel plate!). Located on Granville Island, it’s the perfect place for a post-dinner stroll near the water. Take this date to the next level and swing by Rain or Shine for some ice cream (vegan Sundae with candied hazelnuts is my fav!). Don’t let the long line intimidate you, it’s totally worth the wait!
596 Johnston St on Granville Island, (604) 682-6681
Can you tell all her favourite spots revolve around food? For more kid friendly menus and spaces, check out Aphrodite’s Organic Café (the kid’s brunch menu is amazing!) or The Gluten Free Epicurean.
Give her a follow!
