Kid-Friendly Vancouver Summer Camps
6. Pedalheads
Pedalheads is bike safety and skills program for kids aged two to twelve. Their Vancouver summer camps will take your kids from training wheels to trails. They’ll learn about safety, trail riding, street riding and bicycle maintenance. It’s a great way to help your child develop confidence on two wheels while sparing your back. Plus, your little ones will have a great time. With more than 15 locations across the city and suburbs, there’s sure to be one near you.

7. Science World
Science World’s summer science camps will encourage your children’s curiosity, and build their confidence and skills. It’s a way to spark your little one’s interest in science, taking them way beyond what they’ll learn about in school. They’ve expanded their offerings to everyone from preschoolers to middle school students. Many of their Vancouver summer camps are full, particularly for younger kids. There are still spaces in many programs, though, so be sure to sign up ASAP.

8. Place des Arts
Coquitlam arts centre Place des Arts is once again offering their immensely popular Summer Fun! art camps for children and youth ages five to fourteen. You’ll find flexibility, innovation, excellent instruction, after hours care and, of course, lots of summer fun! There are some truly unique programs. For instance, your child can learn to play the ukulele, do yoga, work with clay, publish an E-magazine or engage in fibre arts. Spaces are filling up fast, particularly in the five-to-seven year old group, so register soon.

9. SFU
There are a broad range of Vancouver summer camps happening atop Burnaby mountain this summer through SFU’s summer camps. There are sports camps, educational camps, outdoor adventure camps, aquatic camps and more. There are also camps on the Surrey campus, including the popular Science ALIVE! camps. There are programs for kids starting at age four on up, and pre and post camp care and lunches are available.

10. Douglas College
Douglas College offers suburban Vancouver summer camps in Coquitlam and New Westminster for kids from age five on up. there are full-day and half-day options, covering subjects from sports to photography to computers to the arts and more. Before and after camp care is also available.
