Celebrate the spirit of Christmas at the Britannia Mine Museum on December 8th

Looking for a unique kid-friendly holiday outing with a wintry backdrop? Zip down the Sea to Sky to the Britannia Mine Museum for their annual Christmas Magic event. On Saturday December 8th, they’re having a enchanting holiday event perfect for kids and families at a special $15 admission price.
The underground train will be running from 10 am to 3 pm and the all-important man in red, Santa with be on-hand for photos along with his trusty elves. Rumour has it Mrs Claus will be there to help you build gingerbread houses. If you’re lucky there will a dusting of snow over the mine for a picturesque outing.

Photos with Santa *FREE* with admission
Climb aboard the underground train and take ride with one of Santa’s elves as it rolls into authentic mining tunnels. Later meet the real Kris Kringle, who’s making a pit stop at this historic location! Complimentary photos with Santa and a warm cup of hot chocolate will bring joy to your holidays. Santa will be on-site from 11 am to 2 pm.
Gingerbread Houses
Step inside the Britannia Mine Museum machine shop and explore a life-sized gingerbread world where baking whiz Mrs. Claus will help you make your very own gingerbread house to take home with you. Yum!
Gift Shopping
Pick up unique gifts — jewellery, books, giftware, toys and artisan pieces — for everyone on your list at the Museum’s glittering gift shop. Inspired by metals, rocks and gems found under the earth’s crust, the shop is considered one of the best in the area.

Christmas Magic is free to attend for the Museum’s members. Become a member today or upgrade your ticket after your visit. As a seasonal perk, memberships purchased between now and December 8th will be valid until December 31st, 2019 — offering more than a year’s worth of entertainment!
