Today’s Vancouver Mom: Lorraine Kitsos

I am the designer and co-owner (with the lovely Kristy Brinkley) of Redfish Kids, and we celebrated our tenth year in 2015 of designing and making vibrant, quality children’s clothes right here in Vancouver. Our boutiques are downtown and in Dundarave, but I live in the Main Street area – and love it! My husband is an artist and professor at SFU, our 13-year-old son is entering secondary school (gulp) and our 10-year-old daughter, was recently featured in this awesome Hershey’s advert. We all love the arts… and basketball!(is there a better sport??)

Our favourite family days are spent at the beach and we love the summer sailing camps for kids of all ages, put on by MacSailing in Jerico.

The seawall is one of Vancouver’s greatest assets and we love hopping on bikes and heading out with a picnic stop on Third Beach.

Farmers Markets

Summer Sunday’s just don’t feel right without a trip to a Farmers Market – Trout Lake is our family favourite.

El Camino

This is one just for me and the hubby – we love to escape to El Camino once in a while for date night. We love Tequila and they always play the best David Bowie classics.
